I got incredibly angry today for a stupid reason. Seeking a desperate way to expel it, when my mum asked the family for help with shifting a heavy bed mattress, I just marched into the bedroom and deadlifted the mattress all by myself. It normally takes at least three people to do it because it really is a big, huge mattress.
For some perspective, I am only a 52 kg guy with skinny arms. So yes, I have proven again that fury — if channeled correctly — can lead to amazing feats of strength.
Unfortunately, all that power has to come from somewhere. After lifting the mattress I immediately felt a sharp pull in my right gluteus maximus. It disappeared after two minutes, nothing serious. I am not even going to ask why lifting a heavy weight can cause injury to my buttocks.
So yes, I spent the second day of 2016 getting pissed off for a silly reason and injuring my backside. Happy New Year.
Volcanic fury. Like angry, burning blades erupting from my body, I channel my inner rage into a weapon of blood.
