Daniel Bryan was in Singapore yesterday, and I managed to head down to Bugis Junction where he made an appearance to sign autographs and take photos. Only the first 100 attendees could take a photo with him, and unfortunately there was no way I could go there early enough because of work.
The New Paper, one of our daily tabloids here, managed to get a short and interesting interview with him. There was a curious tidbit about his injury:
He said his injury was concussion-related and even though he has been cleared by a personal doctor, he is still waiting for the WWE doctor to clear him.
Bryan said: “I think it could be the end of my career in WWE, but I don’t think it will be the end of my career.
“I could find another passion, but it would just be sad because this is what I have been most passionate about since I was five.”
This could be mere kayfabe or PR talk from Bryan of course. But after seeing how the quality of Raw and Smackdown has nosedived in recent months, Bryan would be wasting his talents at WWE.
Perhaps a possible return to the indies or NJPW is in order? I know that Bryan has a huge following in Japan and fans are dying to see their dream match of Daniel Bryan vs Shinsuke Nakamura.
Or Daniel Bryan vs AJ Styles. OMG, please make this match happen.
