In my opinion, the problem with the huge popularity of mobile and F2P games is that it suddenly becomes the new focus for a lot of traditional gaming companies. Konami, SNK, and now even Nintendo have been forced to jump on the bandwagon.
Who are the people to blame for this? The gamers, every single one of you who have ever indulged in an F2P game. I myself am guilty of this too. I’ve spent money on F2P games like World of Tanks, You Don’t Know Jack, … and bloody Team Fortress 2.
I’ve said this before in the past: consumers have a lot of collective power, even if they don’t realise it.
