Absolutely amazing read about the rise and fall of Notch, the man who built the Minecraft empire. I’ve never played Minecraft, but my sister has, and I could immediately understand the appeal of sandbox construction games like these. Enjoyable by gamers of all ages, casual or hardcore.
And then Notch somehow became frustrated with his passion as he no longer wanted to be involved with development. The moral of the story: money can never buy you happiness, and success is also a poor measure of one’s satisfaction with life. Just ask Notch.
