Reading Arsenal fans describe about their “MAJESTIC PERFORMANCE” against Man City makes me wonder if they even watched the match or were delusional.
Your defence was hardly majestic, Martin Demichelis was left completely unmarked to head home City’s equaliser. And the visitors could have stolen the win not once, but THRICE — they hit the woodwork twice near the death due to some bad luck, and Samir Nasri had a goal (correctly) ruled offside.
And now they claim they are going to defeat Borussia Dortmund away in the Champions League. *Cue evil laughter*. Shinji Kagawa
and Marco Reus will tear this Arsenal defence to shreds very easily.
Update (15 Sep): Marco Reus is currently injured for a month with an ankle problem. Apologies for the error, completely forgot about his injury.
I’m sorry for gloating and sounding like an arrogant ass, but I watched the Arsenal-Man City match in full. I have also been following Dortmund for the past few weeks and while they got off to a bad start with a 0-2 loss to Bayer Leverkusen, they have gone back to winning ways in the Bundesliga. Kagawa’s return to his old club was marked by a semi-assist contribution and a decent goal. He should be very familiar with how the Gunners play.
I am just stating my plain observations as a spectator. Please don’t sugar-coat the facts.
In other Bundesliga news, Shinji Okazaki (aka the “AH PEK”) has just broken Yasuhiko Okudera’s record of 26 Bundesliga goals to become the most prolific Japanese goalscorer in Germany. It is a good day to be an Asian football fan, and a great day for Shinjis everywhere. しんじに信じている。
