Found a new Malaysian acquaintance to play UNIEL with, and he managed to upload some match videos of his Yuzuriha facing off against my Eltnum.
Another friend once commented that I was “too defensive” when playing World of Tanks. That description could be used to describe my playstyle in the video here. I didn’t realise it before when I was actually playing.
I am naturally defensive in whatever games or sports I play. Probably explains why I played as a goalkeeper/defender in football back in primary school, and also why I prefer closed games in chess. If you can frustrate your opponent by shutting down their offence, then that’s half the battle won already.
Unfortunately, there are times where defence must be transformed into attack. It’s the only way to win in fighting games — you have to deal more damage to your opponent. This is something that I still have problems with: being unsure of when to go for the counter-attack.
I’m convinced now that Melty Blood’s future lies in the success of UNIEL. If this game sells wells and becomes popular, it could generate enough revenue and momentum for Melty Blood HD to be developed. Unreal black things.
