Terror comes in multiples of three. I had to fight all of the characters I hated on one night. The Nanaya losses were against our top player, Joel, so I wasn’t too upset about them. It’s a simple matter of blocking patiently and knowing when to mash or DP, and unfortunately, I was feeling very tired from work tonight and so my reactions were really slow.
Seifuku is a dirty, scumbug character. One single hit, and you get combo-ed for 4k+ damage, with full-screen corner carry into hard knockdown oki. Many other characters have to sacrifice damage, or have to be in a specific position (in the corner, for example) in order to achieve hard knockdown and mixups. None of this matters to her. It’s her freaking BnB. Anywhere, anytime, against anyone. She’s so brainlessly unfair to fight against because your opponent doesn’t even need to do anything spectacular with her to win. I had to use half-moon to fight her because I didn’t quite have the patience to block tonight. Just shield bunker immediately and get out of her lockdown ASAP.
There is something seriously wrong with my H-Sion recently. I am having problems pressuring and rushing down with her, which makes no sense because I also play H-VSion, another rushdown-pressure character. It’s absolutely maddening to maintain multiple characters at once. Just when you think you’ve hit a breakthrough with your intended main, you encounter a brick wall and suddenly, your alt seems like your stronger character.
“Inconsistency” seems to be the proper word here. I am unable to maintain a positive form over a long period with my characters, and this is what irritates me about playing MB at the moment. I am losing matches not because my opponents are better than me, but because I cannot perform to the ability that I know I possess.
